EMBERS is specifically for young adults ages 18–35. This space aims to meet the unique needs, challenges, and fellowship opportunities for this season of life.
This age-focused gathering helps young adults build meaningful relationships with peers facing similar life stages: college, early career, early marriage, new independence, or transitions.
To honor the purpose of the ministry and maintain the right environment for young adults, anyone over 35 is encouraged to participate in church-wide ministries that are designed for all ages.
Yes. Married couples within the 18–35 age range are welcome. EMBERS is for young adults regardless of marital status.
No. Childcare is not provided, so parents are encouraged to arrange care beforehand.
Because EMBERS is designed to foster young adult community, children cannot attend. Parents should plan childcare so they can fully engage.
Only those with infants under 1 year old may attend EMBERS gatherings. This allowance is made to support young adult parents with newborns, while still maintaining the intended environment of the ministry.
Infants under 1 year old may attend with their parents; however, if an infant becomes fussy, begins crying, or makes noise that could distract from the gathering, parents should kindly step into one of the designated rooms for care. This helps us maintain a focused environment for worship, fellowship, and teaching while still being supportive of young families.
Each gathering includes a shared meal, worship, fellowship, rotating themes, and occasional devotionals or testimonies.
Service roles are kept within the 18–35 age group to preserve the intended dynamic. Older adults are encouraged to connect with young adults through other ministries.
By encouraging young adults to participate in church-wide ministries and events that naturally integrate generations.
If attendance grows, gatherings may move to a larger home or the church building while maintaining a warm, home-like atmosphere.
Because our gathering space is limited, EMBERS has a maximum number of attendees we can host each month. If the attendance list reaches capacity, additional individuals will be encouraged to attend the next EMBERS gathering the following month. We want to ensure the evening remains warm, relational, and manageable for the team and the home where it is hosted.
Los and Lynette are establishing the foundation and tone for the ministry. As EMBERS grows, additional young adult leaders will be raised up.
No. EMBERS is open to young adults ages 18–35, whether or not they are members of the church.
Because we are limited in space, members of Christ Alone Fellowship will receive priority for attendance at EMBERS events before non-members. We desire to be hospitable, but also faithful stewards of our gathering space.
No. EMBERS is not a substitute for the local church. It is supplemental and should encourage deeper commitment to Sunday worship, preaching, sacraments, and the life of the gathered church.
